Coolbor Chipbreaker Oilhole Drills

Coolbor is a UK-manufactured brand of high-speed steel (HSS) chipbreaker oilhole drills and cutting tools, designed primarily for the steel structural industry.

Coolbor drills have chipbreaker cutting edges that break swarf into small, manageable chips. This stops long, stringy swarf from wrapping around the tool or clogging the machine, which matters most on automated beam and plate drilling lines.

Internal oilholes carry coolant straight to the cutting edge. This keeps the drill cool, helps clear chips out of the hole and extends tool life when drilling through thick structural sections at high feed rates.

Coolbor drills are manufactured by Lidsters at our Killamarsh, Sheffield site.
